JOB DESCRIPTION:

, @& a' a7 f  f8 W/ F( b" BStudent Callers contact alumni, parents, and friends of the University of Western Ontario to request gifts for specific funds at the University. Employees must complete a training program prior to their first calling session. Employees will be paid for their training session, but not until they have worked at least four calling shifts. Student Callers are given the flexibility to determine their own schedules, but each student is required to sign up for at least two permanent calling shifts per week. Once in the position, student callers are required to maintain a pledge percentage of 15 / g4 o, O, x' I2 u9 }
Areas of Responsibility:
  r. Z# o4 i; k! w- Call potential donors for gifts + i. _5 e$ A2 _. j/ i; ^
- Maintain good public relations with alumni and friends
, A; K6 _7 N" y0 W1 f+ L. x- Alert the management staff to donor problems/concerns 0 A! U4 ?8 g) w0 Z9 |0 k2 h' R' d
- Clearly update and verify all specified alumni demographics
2 q2 E$ z! }  _; j; g2 E" `- Accurately record the results of every phone call / J: c6 {5 @' {: c) C
- Efficiently operate the Campus Call system 6 d9 \, \0 r$ N8 e5 h
- Maintain a pledge percentage of at least 15 # g2 L  o8 I3 g0 i
- Arrive for work on time and prepared 2 |% l4 @0 ]( I, x( a% J  n
Experience and Skills Required
7 y) e+ W6 M0 M! o4 b- @% F- UWO student or recent alumni
  U, F! n! @5 _8 m$ l- Clear communication skills/comfortable with public speaking
7 Q- K, o& }1 m2 p- Strong work ethic and attendance record 5 y5 m5 M6 l- t4 w
- Demonstrated ability to work well individually and in a team setting
, w9 g, i$ L# s  x- Flexible, dedicated and results oriented 4 s( F  R' h3 r5 u  `; r
- Enthusiastic

Monday-Thursday 5:30-9:30

Compensation 3 U* y# |* ^* w, Z
Hourly wages begin at $8.00 including vacation pay. Raises will be determined each term, based on performance, attendance, and attitude.
